The detriments of using the Lord’s Name in vain.

What awakens within us when we say a name reveals the concept we associate with the bearer of that name. This concept also reveals where we stand in relation to that person. Do an exercise and say any person’s name in your life. Try it! Now proceed:

You see, when we say one person’s name, the feeling of kindness might awaken; with another frustration; another sexual lust, another hatred, another calmness, another resilience; another continuous striving; another boldness; another regret etc. We say mother and the concept of “inner warmth” might awaken in some, but in others “coldness”. It all depends on the individual and how we see. But in all this, what we associate with the bearer of that name and thus where we stand in relation to them, is revealed by what awakens with us when we use their name.

Now to the point! When we use the name of the Lord, what awakens with us is what we associate with Him, and thus where we stand in relation to Him. Using His Name in vain, someone will mutter “OMG” in frustration, another might use it in anger, another in lust, another in malice, another in superficiality, another in dismissal, but others might use it in reverence, in love. But each time, the spiritual condition, state of maturity, worth, and value of the human spirit is measured precisely by what inwardly awakens within it when it uses the Name of the Almighty!

What awakens in us also reveals where we stand in relation to the Bearer of this Name, and also how far removed or near we are from “heaven”. For heaven is bliss, and the True Nature of the Almighty is the Source of bliss, so any intuition besides deep bliss and its branches in association with this Name reveals the distance between the human spirit and the vicinity of the Almighty…the Source of Heavenly Bliss. Consequently, the flagrant misuse of this Name in a superficial and debasing way for every possible occasion reveals to each person what they associate with the Bearer of this Name, and also how far removed it is from a connection with the True Concept of the Bearer of this Name.

But it goes further! Where a human spirit is even bound to go after earthly death is also revealed by what awakens within it when it uses this Name. Emptiness, superficiality, and the host of lowly and dark emotions that informs a person’s frequent misuse of this Holy Name means the person is spiritually tied to analogous regions that are empty, superficial, lowly and dark. Ergo, when we pass, all we will see and experience is all we see and experience within ourselves when we use the Name of the Almighty! Just think about that carefully.

That is how we stand in relation to the Creator. Thou shalt not use the Name of the Lord in vain refers in the first place to the inner concept and intuition we allow to arise when we use this Name. The energy that informs what we associate with the Name and where we stand in relation to its Bearer. For the nature of these intuitions is what forms our fate, determines our spiritual destiny, and decides what we experience and where we even go after we pass from this earth.

Consequently, I believe that is partly why we are admonished to use this Name only in those sacred moments when an overpowering reverential love flares in the intuition…the pulsating love that aligns with the concept of the Bearer of the Name. To have enough respect for Its Bearer to only association the purest concept with It! It is also a call to clarify our knowledge of the Will of the Bearer of this Name. For the clearer we are of the knowledge of this Will and seek to apply It, and the more we see the Love inherent in Its every operation, the more we in turn associate only love, purity, and justice with the Bearer of this Name. In this case, through the increased knowledge and ever-deepening experiences, those are the only intuitions that will inwardly awaken when we use the Name of the Lord. The Sacred and Holy Name!

Through such recognitions and blissful intuitions, these energies of reverential love will then blaze a path upward to heaven… the Eternal Realm of bliss whose inhabitants exist solely to honor the Only One, the Almighty Father.
