The connection…

Be-gone stranger! Depart nomad!
Thus must I now address you

I gave you everything, showered you with delight
Yet you have forgotten me, abandoned me, forsaken me

You no longer know me as we are strangers now
Guilty of negligence you are for you willingly left me

I must now pronounce you dead to me, a zombie;
as we are now foreigners to each other speaking a different tongue

You severed ties with me, but in anguish of soul you ardently seek me,
Without considering the cleft between us is now almost unbridgeable

I now appear to you a centurion of flaming fury, an inflexible ambassador of rage
All because turned yourself from closest friend into public enemy

I see clearly how you oppose, harass and demean those who house me
Darkening counsel by words without knowledge in unapologetic hostility

Can flowers grow and blossom bereft of the golden rays of the Sun?
Can any life flourish without the liquid elixir that is Nature’s water?
How then can you ever thrive without my bounty permeating everything?

Through me, the wine of bliss was offered you and flowed abundantly
But thy truancy now stubbornly impedes it,
favoring the hemlock of impurity that expedites death for you

One more chance I now offer, before I leave you for all eternity!
Quickly find me, seek me, restore me, reach for me,
for the dwindling sand in the hourglass soon terminates

I am the bookkeeper, the gatekeeper, I am to you everything
Because without me you can do nothing, see nothing, be nothing

Who am I? What am I? So you forgot already?
Remember always…

I am your connection upward!
