From “love” to hate

My uncle lamented the capricious nature of the affection of people who, as grateful beneficiaries of perpetual munificence, abruptly calcify and commence the spewing of vitriol against one. Ruminating over this happening that repeats itself in human relationships, I isolated a pattern algorithmically reproduced below.

High affection = High passion = High expectations = High demands. When these unvoiced demands are not adequately tempered and guided by calm-headed objectivity, it festers to stratospheric heights that crashes into “High disappointment”. From here, High disappointment = High bitterness = High rage = High hate = High vengeance.

Hence he who exhibits high affection toward others should be closely watched as to the realistic and healthy nature, concept and intensity of these expectations. Remember, it went from “Hosanna Hosanna!” to “Crucify Him!”

Thus the starting-point of many of the worse evils is the often intense, misguided and unrealistic expectations inherent in most people’s high affections.
